- Bristlecone pines are thousands of years old, perched on cliffs in harsh, windy deserts. Gracefully declaring their permanent hold on the essentials, these pines stand witness to a multitude of natural experiences. I stand here like the bristlecone, clinging to the edge of the cliff, an old soul witnessing the seasons of the earth.

I'm loving the reds myself - the maples turning a beautiful flaming crimson, and some kind of bush that is also just a bright, bright red. So beautiful! I'm glad this is my time of the year. :)
when I see colors as gorgeous as this together, I think of the combination as my favorite - I can't pick just one!
